In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By oath of those who establish proper ranks. 1 By those (angels) who drive the clouds in a good way. 2 And thus proclaim the Message (of Allah)! 3 Verily your Ilah (God) is indeed One (i.e. Allah); 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth and all between them, and Lord of every point at the rising of the sun! 5 Verily! We have adorned the near heaven with the stars (for beauty). 6 and have made them secure against every rebellious, satanic force, 7 They cannot listen to the exalted assembly and they are thrown at from every side, 8 cast out [from all grace,] with lasting suffering in store for them [in the life to come]; 9 Except those who eavesdrop and are pursued by a shooting flame. 10 So ask them (that is, human beings): “Were they harder to create than the objects We created?” We created them from sticky clay. 11 Aye! thou marvellest, and they scoff. 12 And when they are admonished, they receive not admonition. 13 When they are shown a sign, they scoff at it 14 And say: "This is only magic. 15 "What! when we die, and become dust and bones, shall we (then) be raised up (again) 16 What, and our fathers, the ancients?' 17 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Yes, and you shall then be humiliated." 18 It will be only one shout, and at once they will be observing. 19 They will say: "Woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense!" 20 [And they will be told:] "This is the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false - the Day] which you were wont to call a lie!" 21

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
