And whoever is blinded from remembrance of the Most Merciful - We appoint for him a devil, and he is to him a companion. 36 Satan will prevent them from the right path while they think that they have the right guidance. 37 till, when he comes to Us, he says, 'Would there had been between me and thee the distance of the two Easts!' An evil comrade! 38 And it will profit you not today, because ye have done wrong, that ye are in the torment sharers. 39 Wherefore canst thou make the deaf to hear, or canst thou guide the blind or him who is is error manifest? 40 Even if We take you away, We shall take vengeance upon them, 41 Or if We shew thee that wherewith We threaten them, verily We are going to prevail over them. 42 Therefore hold fast to that which has been revealed to you; surely you are on the right path. 43 And most surely it is a reminder for you and your people, and you shall soon be questioned. 44 Ask Our Messengers whom We sent before you if We have ever made gods, other than the Merciful, to be worshipped. 45
