Therefore continue to remind, for by the grace of your Lord, you are not a soothsayer, or a madman. 29 Or they allege, “He is a poet – we await a calamity of the times to befall him.” 30 Say (O Muhammad SAW to them): "Wait! I am with you, among the waiters!" 31 Is it their minds that bid them [to take] this [attitude] - or are they [simply] people filled with overweening arrogance? 32 Or do they say, "He has invented it himself"? Indeed, they are not willing to believe. 33 Let them then produce a recital like unto it (the Quran) if they are truthful. 34 Did they come into being without any creator? Or were they their own creators? 35 [And] have they created the heavens and the earth? Nay, but they have no certainty of anything! 36 Or have they the depositories [containing the provision] of your Lord? Or are they the controllers [of them]? 37 Do they have a ladder (by which they can climb up to the heavens) and listen (to the angels) and come back to the rest of the people with clear authority? 38 Or has He daughters while you have sons? 39 Or is it that you ask of them any recompense so that they should fear to be weighed down under the burden of debt? 40 Or have they the unseen so that they write (it) down? 41 Seek they to lay a plot? Then those who disbelieve it is they who shall be plotted against. 42 Or have they any god beside Allah? Glorified be Allah from all that they ascribe as partner (unto Him)! 43 And if they should see a fragment of the heaven falling down, they would say: it is only clouds piled up. 44 Then let them be (O Muhammad), till they meet their day, in which they will be thunder-stricken, 45 A day on which their scheming will not benefit them at all, nor will they be helped. 46 And indeed, for those who have wronged is a punishment before that, but most of them do not know. 47 And wait thou patiently the judgment of thy Lord; verily thou art before Our eyes; and hallow the praise of thy Lord when thou uprisest. 48 And proclaim His Purity during the night, and when the stars turn back. 49
