Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 No! I swear by the reproachful soul. 2 Deemest man that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Yes indeed; We are able to shape again his fingers. 4 Rather, the human desires to continue in his immorality, 5 He asks, "When will be the Day of Judgment?" 6 So, when the sight shall be dazed, 7 And the moon shall be ecliped. 8 And the sun and the moon shall be joined. 9 On that day man will cry: Whither to flee! 10 But there is nowhere to take refuge: 11 With your Lord alone will be the retreat on that day. 12 On that day man is told the tale of that which he hath sent before and left behind. 13 Nay, man will be evidence against himself, 14 Even though he were to put up his excuses. 15 Move not your tongue concerning (the Quran, O Muhammad SAW) to make haste therewith. 16 Surely it is for Us to have you commit it to memory and to recite it. 17 When We have recited it, follow its words attentively; 18 Then it is for Us (Allah) to make it clear to you, 19 Truly, you love immediate gain 20 and neglect the life to come. 21 [Some] faces, that Day, will be radiant, 22 and look forward to receiving mercy from their Lord. 23 And some faces, that Day, will be Basirah (dark, gloomy, frowning, and sad), 24 Imagining that there will befall them a waiste-breaking calomity. 25 Never so, for when life withdraws into the clavicula, 26 and it is said: “Is there any enchanter who can step forward and help (by his chanting)?” 27 And he knoweth that it is the parting; 28 And one shank is entangled with the other shank. 29 To your Lord, that Day, will be the procession. 30
