The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the sky and the night comer - 1 and what could make you know what it is that comes in the night? 2 The star of piercing brightness; 3 That over each soul there is a guardian. 4 So man must consider from what he has been created. 5 He is created from a water dripping, 6 that issues from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Indeed, Allah, to return him [to life], is Able. 8 On a Day whereon secrets shall be out. 9 He shall have neither strength nor helper. 10 By the Firmament which returns (in its round), 11 And [by] the earth which cracks open, 12 the Quran is the final word, 13 It is no pleasantry. 14 As for them, they are but plotting a scheme, 15 but I shall bring all their scheming to nought. 16 Therefore respite the unbelievers, and delay them for a while. 17
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
