Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Magnify the Name of thy Lord the Most High 1 who has created and shaped, 2 And Who makes (things) according to a measure, then guides (them to their goal), 3 And Who bringeth out the (green and luscious) pasture, 4 then made it dry dark, flaky stubble, 5 WE SHALL teach thee, and thou wilt not forget [aught of what thou art taught,] 6 Except as Allah wills: For He knoweth what is manifest and what is hidden. 7 We shall facilitate for you the Easy Way. 8 Therefor remind (men), for of use is the reminder. 9 Soon whoever fears will heed advice. 10 But it will be avoided by the wretched, 11 he who [in the life to come] shall have to endure the great fire 12 In which he will neither die nor live. 13 Indeed whosoever purifies himself (by avoiding polytheism and accepting Islamic Monotheism) shall achieve success, 14 remember the name of the Lord, and pray to Him. 15 But you prefer the life of this world, 16 whereas the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 This indeed is what is taught in the former scriptures -- 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
