“O Noble Messengers, eat good clean things, and do good deeds; I know all that you do.” 51 Surely this community of yours is one community, and I am your Lord; so fear Me.' 52 But they (mankind) have broken their religion among them into sects, each group rejoicing in its tenets. 53 So leave them in their error for a time. 54 Do they imagine that the wealth and children We have provided 55 We are busy lavishing on them all kinds of good? Nay, they do not perceive the reality of the matter. 56 Surely they who from fear of their Lord are cautious, 57 Who believe in their Lord's revelations, 58 And those who join not anyone (in worship) as partners with their Lord; 59 who give, whatever they give in charity, with their hearts trembling at the thought that they are destined to return to their Lord; 60 it is these who hasten to do good works and vie in so doing with one another. 61 We do not burden a soul beyond capacity, for We have a record that tells the truth. No wrong will be done to any one. 62 On the contrary, their hearts are in neglect of this and their works are different than those of the believers, the works that they are doing. 63 But when We seize with the punishment those of them that live in ease, they groan. 64 "Do not supplicate for help today; you will not be rescued by Us; 65 My signs were recited to you, but upon your heels you withdrew, 66 in arrogance, as if you were abandoning a story-teller. 67 Have they not pondered the matter, or did that come to them, which did not come to their forefathers? 68 Or is it that they did not recognize their Messenger (Muhammad SAW) so they deny him? 69 Or do they say, "In him is madness?" Rather, he brought them the truth, but most of them, to the truth, are averse. 70 If the Truth had been in accord with their desires, truly the heavens and the earth, and all beings therein would have been in confusion and corruption! Nay, We have sent them their admonition, but they turn away from their admonition. 71 Or dost thou [O Muhammad] ask of them any worldly recompense? But [they ought to know that] recompense from thy Sustainer is best, since He is the best of providers! 72 But verily thou callest them to the Straight Way; 73 But indeed, those who do not believe in the Hereafter are deviating from the path. 74 ۞ And even were We to show them mercy and remove whatever distress might befall them [in this life,] they would still persist in their overweening arrogance, blindly stumbling to and fro. 75 (They are such) that We seized them with chastisement (and yet) they did not humble themselves before their Lord, nor do they entreat 76 Until, when We open for them the gate of severe punishment, then lo! They will be plunged into destruction with deep regrets, sorrows and in despair. 77
