۞ O mankind, you are those in need of Allah, while Allah is the Free of need, the Praiseworthy. 15 He could replace you by a new creation if He decided to. 16 that is not difficult for God. 17 And a bearer of burthen will not bear another's burthen, and if one heavy-laden calleth for his load, naught thereof will be borne although he be of kin. Thou canst warn only those who fear their Lord, unseen, and establish prayer. And whosoever becometh clean becometh clean only for himself; and unto Allah is the return. 18 Not equal are the blind and the seeing, 19 Nor darkness and light, 20 Nor the shade and the sun's heat. 21 And not equal are the living and the dead! Indeed Allah causes them to listen*, whomever He wills; and you cannot make those who are in the graves** listen. (* Listen to guidance **The disbelievers are referred to as dead, whose fates are sealed.) 22 Thou art no other than a warner. 23 We have sent you with the truth as a bearer of good news and a warner, there is no community to which a warner has not come. 24 If they call you a liar, so had those before them called their apostles liars, who had come to them with clear proofs, scriptures and the splendent Book. 25 [but] in the end I took to task all those who were bent on denying the truth: and how awesome was My rejection! 26
