The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By oath of those who harshly pull out the soul. (Of the disbeliever) 1 and those that blow gently, 2 And those who glide swimmingly, 3 And then they speed with foremost speed. 4 And direct affairs by command, 5 A Day shall come whereon the quaking will quake, 6 followed by the succeeding, 7 Hearts on that day shall palpitate, 8 and eyes will be humbly cast down. 9 They say: "Shall we go back to our original state 10 What! when we are rotten bones? 11 They say: "It would, in that case, be a return with loss!" 12 But all it will take is a single blast, 13 So they will immediately be in an open plain. 14 Has the story of Moses reached thee? 15 When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 [saying], "Go to Pharaoh, he has exceeded all bounds, 17 Then say: Have you (a desire) to purify yourself: 18 and that I should guide thee to thy Lord, then thou shalt fear?"' 19 Then Moses (went to Pharaoh and) showed him the Great Sign; 20 but the Pharaoh rejected it and disobeyed (Moses). 21 Further, he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 then, he gathered, proclaimed, 23 and proclaimed, and he said, 'I am your Lord, the Most High!' 24 you pay attention 25 Verily, in this is an instructive admonition for whosoever fears Allah. 26
