He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ HE FROWNED and turned away 1 Because the blind man had come in his august presence. 2 And what do you know, he may be of the pure! 3 (He might) remember, and the Reminder might profit him. 4 As for him who was indifferent, 5 Unto him thou payest regard. 6 What does it matter to you if he will not become pure (from disbelief, you are only a Messenger, your duty is to convey the Message of Allah). 7 But as for he who came to you striving [for knowledge] 8 and in awe of God 9 Of him wast thou unmindful. 10 No indeed, this is a Reminder; 11 and whosoever wills, shall remember it. 12 (It is) in Books held (greatly) in honour, 13 uplifted, purified, 14 borne by the hands of scribes, 15 Honourable and Virtuous. 16 Woe to man! What hath made him reject Allah; 17 From what substance did He create him? 18 From a sperm-drop He created him and destined for him; 19 then the way eased for him, 20 Then causeth him to die, and burieth him; 21 and He will resurrect him whenever He wants. 22 Nay, but (man) has not done what He commanded him. 23 Let man consider his food: 24 We let the rain pour down in torrents 25 and split the earth, splitting, 26 to yield therein corn, 27 and grape vines and vegetables, 28 And Olives and Dates, 29 And dense gardens, 30 And fruits and grass, 31 (To be) a provision and benefit for you and your cattle. 32 But when the deafening blast is sounded, 33 The day on which a man shall fly from his brother, 34 And from his mother and his father, 35 And from his wife and his children. 36 Everyone on that Day will have affairs to keep him occupied. 37 Some faces on that day shall shine 38 Laughing, rejoicing. 39 And many a face will be covered with dust on that day. 40 o'erspread with darkness -- 41 Those! they are the infidels, the ungodly. 42
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
