Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder. 1 And when the stars have fallen and scattered; 2 And when the oceans are swept away. 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 then everyone will know what he has sent ahead, and what he has left behind. 5 O man! what has beguiled you from your Lord, the Gracious one, 6 who created you, formed you and proportioned you? 7 having put thee together in whatever form He willed [thee to have]? 8 Nay! but you give the lie to the judgment day, 9 But verily, over you (are appointed angels in charge of mankind) to watch you. 10 noble, recording, 11 They know whatsoever ye do. 12 The virtuous ones will live in bliss 13 And verily, the Fujjar (the wicked, disbelievers, sinners and evil-doers) will be in the blazing Fire (Hell), 14 They shall enter it on the day of judgment. 15 and from which they will find no escape. 16 How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 17 Again, what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 18 It is a Day whereon no soul shall own aught of power for any soul; and the command on that Day will be Allah's. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
