Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

I swear by the early hours of the day, 1 and the brooding night! 2 Thy Sustainer has not forsaken thee, nor does He scorn thee: 3 The reward in the next life will certainly be better for you than worldly gains. 4 And presently thy Lord shall give unto thee so that thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan, so provided you shelter? 6 Did He not find thee wandering and direct (thee)? 7 And He found thee in need, and made thee independent. 8 Therefore do not oppress the orphan. 9 and do not chide the one who asks for help; 10 and as for thy Lord's blessing, declare it. 11

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
