The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)

8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

When earth is shaken with a mighty shaking 1 And Earth yieldeth up her burdens, 2 and man will cry out: “What is the matter with her?” 3 That day it will narrate its annals, 4 Because thy Lord inspireth her. 5 That Day mankind will proceed in scattered groups that they may be shown their deeds. 6 Whosoever has done an atom's weight of good shall see it, 7 And whoever does an evil deed equal to the weight of the minutest particle, will see it. 8
