Commemorate Our Servant Job. Behold he cried to his Lord: "The Evil One has afflicted me with distress and suffering!" 41 Stamp the ground with thy foot, yonder is water to wash in, cool, and water to drink. 42 And We bestowed upon him new offspring, doubling their number as an act of grace from Us, and as a reminder unto all who are endowed with insight. 43 "Take a handful of herbs," (We said to him), and apply and rub them, and do not make a mistake." We found him patient in adversity, an excellent devotee, always turning in repentance. 44 And commemorate Our Servants Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, possessors of Power and Vision. 45 Verily, We did choose them by granting them (a good thing, i.e.) the remembrance of the home [in the Hereafter and they used to make the people remember it, and also they used to invite the people to obey Allah and to do good deeds for the Hereafter]. 46 In Our eyes they were of the chosen, virtuous people. 47 And remember Ishmael, Elisha and Dhul-Kifl, and all are among the outstanding. 48 Such is their noble story. The pious ones will certainly have the best place to return. 49 the Gardens of eternity with gates thrown wide open to them. 50 Therein will they recline (at ease): Therein can they call (at pleasure) for fruit in abundance, and (delicious) drink; 51 ۞ having beside them well-matched mates of modest gaze." 52 This is what you, [the righteous], are promised for the Day of Account. 53 Most surely this is Our sustenance; it shall never come to an end; 54 All this (is for the God-fearing). But for the transgressors, an evil resort awaits them -- 55 Hell, where they will be roasted. An evil place to dwell! 56 All this; so let them taste it - boiling water and pus, 57 and, coupled with it, further [suffering] of a similar nature. 58 Here is a troop rushing headlong with you! No welcome for them! truly, they shall burn in the Fire! 59 They will say to them, "You are not welcome! It was you who brought this on us, an evil place to stay," 60 They will say: "Our Lord! Whoever brought this upon us, add to him a double torment in the Fire!" 61 And they will say: "What is the matter with us that we see not men whom we used to count among the bad ones?" 62 and whom we mocked? Have they been rescued or can our eyes not find them?" 63 Verily all this is true. This is how the inmates of the Fire will dispute among themselves. 64
