Nay, and by the moon, 32 by the retreating night, 33 and the dawn when it is white, 34 This is but one of the mighty (portents), 35 As a warning to humanity - 36 to whoever among you desires to go forward, or lag behind. 37 Every soul is pledged to what it does, 38 save the Companions of the Right; 39 [dwelling] In gardens [of paradise,] they will inquire 40 concerning the sinners, 41 "What was it that brought you to Hell?" 42 They will say: "We were not of those who prayed; 43 Nor did we feed the wretched. 44 We indulged and persisted in useless disputes, 45 “And used to deny the Day of Justice.” 46 until death approached us". 47 Then there will not profit them intercesion of the interceders. 48 Then what is the matter with them that they turn away from admonition?- 49 As if they were startled donkeys – 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Nay, but everyone of them desireth that he should be given open pages (from Allah). 52 No, indeed they have no fear of the Everlasting Life. 53 No, indeed, surely, this is a Reminder. 54 So whosoever willeth may heed it. 55 And they will not mind unless Allah please. He is worthy to be feared and worthy to forgive. 56
