And remember Our servant Job, when he called to his Lord, "Indeed, Satan has touched me with hardship and torment." 41 Urge with your foot; here is a cool washing-place and a drink. 42 And We granted to him his family and also the like of them, as a mercy from Us, and as a reminder to people of understanding, 43 "And take in your hand a bundle of thin grass and strike therewith (your wife), and break not your oath. Truly! We found him patient. How excellent (a) slave! Verily, he was ever oft-returning in repentance (to Us)! 44 And remember Our servants, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - those of strength and [religious] vision. 45 We indeed gave them distinction with a genuine affair – the remembrance of the (everlasting) abode. 46 And they are with Us, verily, of the chosen and the best! 47 And remember Isma'il (Ishmael), Al-Yasa'a (Elisha), and Dhul-Kifl (Isaiah), all are among the best. 48 LET [all] this be a reminder [to those who believe in God] - for, verily, the most beauteous of all goals awaits the God-conscious: 49 Gardens of Eden, whereof the gates are opened for them, 50 They will be resting therein and will be able to ask for many kinds of fruit and drink. 51 ۞ And with them will be women limiting [their] glances and of equal age. 52 This is what they had been promised for the Day of Judgment. 53 this, verily, shall be Our provision [for you,] with no end to it! 54 This [is so]. But indeed, for the transgressors is an evil place of return - 55 They will suffer in hell. What a terrible dwelling! 56 This - let them taste it: scalding water and corruption. 57 and other such torments. 58 Here is a troop rushing headlong with you! No welcome for them! truly, they shall burn in the Fire! 59 (The followers shall cry to the misleaders:) "Nay, ye (too)! No welcome for you! It is ye who have brought this upon us! Now evil is (this) place to stay in!" 60 They will say: "Our Lord! whoever brought this upon us,- Add to him a double Penalty in the Fire!" 61 And they shall say: What is the matter with us that we do not see men whom we used to count among the vicious? 62 Did we take them (wrongly) for a laughing-stock, or have our eyes missed them? 63 Verily all this is true. This is how the inmates of the Fire will dispute among themselves. 64
