The tree of al-Zaqqum 43 shall be food for the sinners: 44 It is like pitch. It will fume in the belly 45 Like the boiling of scalding water. 46 (A voice will cry: "Seize ye him and drag him into the midst of the Blazing Fire! 47 then pour over his head the chastisement of boiling water!' 48 [It will be said], "Taste! Indeed, you are the honored, the noble! 49 This is that which you doubted' 50 As to the Righteous (they will be) in a position of Security, 51 Within gardens and springs, 52 dressed in fine silk and in rich brocade, and they will face each other: 53 Thus shall it be. And We shall pair them with companions pure, most beautiful of eye. 54 They call therein for every fruit in safety. 55 They shall not taste therein death except the first death, and He will save them from the punishment of the hell, 56 A grace from your Lord; this is the great achievement. 57 THUS, THEN, [O Prophet,] have We made this [divine writ] easy to understand, in thine own [human] tongue, so that men might take it to heart. 58 Wait, then; they too are waiting. 59
