The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

By the heaven, and the night-visitor, 1 How will you comprehend what the night star is? 2 The star of piercing brightness; 3 Over every soul there is a watcher. 4 Let the human reflect of what he is created. 5 He is created of water pouring forth, 6 Issuing from (the pelvis) between the backbone and the ribs. 7 He certainly has the power to bring him back to life. 8 On the day when hidden thoughts shall be searched out. 9 He shall have neither strength nor helper. 10 By heaven of the returning rain, 11 And the earth splitting (with plants); 12 this is indeed a Decisive Word, 13 And it is not a thing for amusement. 14 Lo! they plot a plot (against thee, O Muhammad) 15 And I am plotting a plot. 16 so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. 17

Almighty God's Truth.
