The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ THE TRUE BELIEVERS will be successful, 1 who are humble in their prayers; 2 who turn away from idle talk; 3 And who are payers of the poor-due; 4 And they who guard their private parts 5 except with their wives, and what their right hands possess -- for then they are free from blame, 6 But those whose desires exceed those limits are transgressors;- 7 and who preserve their trusts and their covenant 8 and those who observe their prayers. 9 These are the heirs 10 who shall inherit Paradise therein dwelling forever. 11 Verily We created man from a product of wet earth; 12 Thereafter We made him (the offspring of Adam) as a Nutfah (mixed drops of the male and female sexual discharge) (and lodged it) in a safe lodging (womb of the woman). 13 Then fashioned We the drop a clot, then fashioned We the clot a little lump, then fashioned We the little lump bones, then clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators! 14 Then after that, certainly all of you are to die. 15 Again, on the Day of Judgment, will ye be raised up. 16 And We have made, above you, seven tracts; and We are never unmindful of (our) Creation. 17 And We have sent down rain from the sky in a measured amount and settled it in the earth. And indeed, We are Able to take it away. 18 And We brought forth for you thereby gardens of palm trees and grapevines in which for you are abundant fruits and from which you eat. 19 We have also created for you the tree that grows on Mount Sinai which produces oil and relish for those who use it. 20 And in cattle (too) ye have an instructive example: from within their bodies We produce (milk) for you to drink; there are, in them, (besides), numerous (other) benefits for you; and of their (meat) ye eat; 21 And upon them and on ships you are carried. 22
