When your Lord called out to Moses, saying, "Go to the wrongdoing people, 10 The people of Fir'awn; fear they Me not? 11 He answered: "O my Sustainer! Behold, I fear that they will give me the lie, 12 My heart is constrained, my tongue falters, so delegate Aaron; 13 And they have a crime against me, so I fear that they shall slay me. 14 He said: "Certainly not! So go both of you with Our Signs. We shall be with you listening to everything. 15 Then come to Firon and say: Surely we are the apostles of the Lord of the worlds: 16 "'Send thou with us the Children of Israel.'" 17 Said Firaun, “Did we do not raise you amongst us, as a child? And you spent many years of your life among us!” 18 You spent many years of your life among us and then you committed that deed of yours. You are very ungrateful indeed." 19 (Moses) replied: "I did do that and I was in the wrong, 20 and I fled from you because I feared you. Then my Lord granted me wisdom and made me one of the messengers. 21 And this is the past favour wherewith thou reproachest me: that thou hast enslaved the Children of Israel. 22 Pharaoh said: And what is the Lord of the Worlds? 23 Said Moosa, “Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them; if you believe.” 24 (Pharaoh) said to those around: "Did ye not listen (to what he says)?" 25 Musa (Moses) said: "Your Lord and the Lord of your ancient fathers!" 26 (Pharaoh) said: 'Surely, the Messenger who has been sent to you is mad!' 27 He said, 'The Lord of the East and West, and what between them is, if you have understanding,' 28 Said he: If you will take a god besides me, I will most certainly make you one of the imprisoned. 29 He said: Even though I show thee something plain? 30 He (Pharaoh) replied: 'Show us your sign, if you are of the truthful' 31 Then he cast down his staff, and lo! it was a serpent manifest. 32 And he drew forth his hand, and lo! it appeared white to the onlookers. 33
