Do you not see how those who dispute God's signs, are turned away from the right path -- 69 those who reject the Book and that with which We sent Our messengers shall soon know -- 70 When, with (iron) collars and chains around their necks, they will be dragged 71 into boiling water and then they will be burned in the fire. 72 Then it is said unto them: Where are (all) that ye used to make partners (in the Sovereignty) 73 “As rivals to Allah?”; they will say, “We have lost them – in fact we never used to worship anything before!”; this is how Allah sends the disbelievers astray. 74 That was because you had been exulting in the earth without any right (by worshipping others instead of Allah and by committing crimes), and that you used to rejoice extremely (in your error). 75 "Enter ye the gates of Hell, to dwell therein: and evil is (this) abode of the arrogant!" 76 HENCE, remain thou patient in adversity - for, verily, God's promise always comes true. And whether We show thee [in this world] something of what We hold in store for those [deniers of the truth,] or whether We cause thee to die [ere that retribution takes place - know that, in the end,] it is unto Us that they will be brought back. 77 Indeed We sent many Messengers before you: of them there are some whose account We have narrated to you and there are others whose account We have not narrated to you. It did not lie in any Messenger's power to bring any Sign except with Allah's leave. So when Allah's decree came, the matter was decided with justice, and those steeped in error courted utter loss, then and there. 78
