Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is split asunder, 1 and when the stars are scattered; 2 And when the seas are made to flow forth, 3 And when the Graves are turned upside down;- 4 every soul will see the result of its deeds - those recorded before his death and those which will produce either virtue or evil after his death. 5 O man! What has made you careless concerning your Lord, the Most Generous? 6 Him Who created thee. Fashioned thee in due proportion, and gave thee a just bias; 7 Into whatever form He pleased He constituted you. 8 Nay! But ye do reject Right and Judgment! 9 And most surely there are keepers over you 10 noble scribes 11 Knowing all what you may do. 12 The virtuous ones will live in bliss 13 and the libertines shall be in a fiery furnace 14 They will enter it on the Day of Justice. 15 and from it they shall never be absent. 16 What could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 17 And once again: What could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 18 (It will be) the Day when no person shall have power (to do) anything for another, and the Decision, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
