The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the heaven of the constellations! 1 By the promised Day (of Judgment); 2 by the Witness and the witnessed, 3 Perish the fellows of the ditch, 4 [Containing] the fire full of fuel, 5 when they were seated over it 6 and were witnessing what they did to the believers. 7 They had nothing against them, except that they believed in Allah, the All-Mighty, Worthy of all Praise! 8 and the One to whom belongs the heavens and the earth. God is the Witness of all things. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and women without repenting will suffer the torment of hell and that of the burning fire. 10 Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great attainment. 11 Verily the grip of thine Lord is severe. 12 Behold, it is He who creates [man] in the first instance, and He [it is who] will bring him forth anew. 13 and He is the Forgiving and Loving One. 14 the Owner of the Throne, the Glorious One, 15 Performer of what He desires. 16 Has it come to you the story of the hosts 17 of the Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 The unbelievers are indeed engaged in denying it, calling it a lie, 19 although Allah surrounds them. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Qur'an. 21 Inscribed in a tablet preserved. 22

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
