Nay; I swear by the moon, 32 and by the night when it recedes, 33 By the morning when it brighteneth. 34 surely it is one of the greatest things 35 Warn the men. 36 to whoever of you desires to go forward or lag behind. 37 Every soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 Except the people of the right hand, 39 In Gardens they will question 40 And (ask) of the Sinners: 41 "What has brought you into the Fire of Hell ?" 42 They shall say: We were not of those who prayed; 43 And did not feed the needy, 44 we indulged in vain arguments along with those who indulged in them; 45 “And used to deny the Day of Justice.” 46 until the Inevitable End [death] overtook us." 47 The mediation of no mediators will avail them then. 48 Why now turn they away from the Admonishment, 49 like frightened donkeys 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Nay, everyone of them desires that he should be given pages spread out (coming from Allah with a writing that Islam is the right religion, and Muhammad SAW has come with the truth from Allah the Lord of the heavens and earth, etc.). 52 Nay! But they fear not the Hereafter (from Allah's punishment). 53 Nay, verily, this (Quran) is an admonition, 54 and whoever wills may take it to heart. 55 And they will not heed unless Allah willeth (it). He is the fount of fear. He is the fount of Mercy. 56
