The people of Aykah also gave the lie to the Messengers. 176 Shu'ayb said to them, "Will you not fear God? 177 "I am to you a messenger worthy of all trust. 178 “Therefore fear Allah and obey me.” 179 And I do not ask you any reward for it, my reward is only with the Lord of the worlds; 180 ۞ Give full measure and do not be of those who cause loss. 181 And weigh (things) with a right balance, 182 do not defraud people of what is rightfully theirs; and do not spread corruption in the land. 183 "And fear Him Who created you and the generations of the men of old." 184 They said: "Surely you are deluded. 185 for thou art nothing but a mortal like ourselves! And behold, we think that thou art a consummate liar! 186 "So cause a piece of the heaven to fall on us, if you are of the truthful!" 187 He. said: My Lord is the Best Knower of that which ye work. 188 In response they denied him – therefore the punishment of the day of the tent* seized them; that was indeed a punishment of a Great Day. (The clouds formed a tent and rained fire upon them). 189 Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them were not Muslims. 190 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 191
