By the angels ranged in ranks. 1 and those who drive away [the wicked] with reproof 2 And by oath of the groups that read the Qur’an. 3 Lo! thy Lord is surely One; 4 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and of all that is between them; the Lord of the Easts. 5 We have indeed decked the lower heaven with beauty (in) the stars,- 6 Protecting them against every wayward devil, 7 [So] they may not listen to the exalted assembly [of angels] and are pelted from every side, 8 To make them flee, and for them is a never-ending punishment. 9 but if anyone does succeed in snatching a glimpse [of such knowledge,] he is [henceforth] pursued by a piercing flame. 10 So ask them for a pronouncement -- Are they stronger in constitution, or those We created? We created them of clinging clay. 11 Nay, but whereas thou dost marvel, they [only] scoff; 12 And when they are reminded, they mind not, 13 And seek to scoff when they behold a portent. 14 And they say: this Qur'an is naught but magic manifest. 15 “When we are dead and have turned into dust and bones, will we certainly be raised again?” 16 What, and our forefathers, the ancients' 17 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Yes, and you shall then be humiliated." 18 for that [resurrection which they deride] will be [upon them of a sudden, as if it were] but a single accusing cry - and then, lo! they will begin to see [the truth] 19 And say: "Ah woe! This is the Day of Reckoning." 20 “This is the Day of Judgement, which you used to deny!” 21
