Verily We bestowed Our favours on Moses and Aaron 114 and We saved them and their people from the awesome calamity [of bondage,] 115 and We helped them, so that they were victorious; 116 and We gave them the Manifesting Book, 117 And guided them to the Right Path; 118 and perpetuated their praise in later generations. 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 121 They are among Our faithful devotees. 122 Elias was certainly a Messenger. 123 He said to his people, "Have you no fear [of God?] 124 Call ye upon Bal and forsake the Best of creators. 125 God, your Sustainer and the Sustainer of your forebears of old?" 126 They denied him, and will surely be brought to punishment, 127 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 128 We preserved a good name for him among posterity. 129 Peace be on Elias. 130 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 131 Lo! he is one of our believing slaves. 132 And Lot too was one of the Messengers. 133 We saved him and all his people, 134 Except an old woman who was one of those who stayed behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 And during the night; so do you not have sense? 138
