Al-Najm 3 of 3
Observedest thou him who turned away? 33 who at first gave a little, then later held back? 34 What! Has he knowledge of the Unseen so that he can see? 35 Or has he never yet been told of what was [said] in the revelations of Moses, 36 And with Abraham who kept his word: 37 That no soul laden bears the load of another, 38 That a man receives but only that for which he strives; 39 And that his endeavour shall be presently observed. 40 and that he shall then be fully recompensed, 41 and that the final end is with your Lord, 42 And that it is He (Allah) Who makes (whom He wills) laugh, and makes (whom He wills) weep; 43 and that it is He who makes to die, and that makes to live, 44 It is He who has created spouses, male and female, 45 out of a [mere] drop of sperm as it is poured forth, 46 That He hath promised a Second Creation (Raising of the Dead); 47 And that it is He (Allah) Who gives much or a little (or gives wealth and contentment), 48 And that it is He Who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 It was He who totally destroyed the former 'Ad 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace of them, 51 and before them the nation of Noah, they exceeded in evil and were insolent. 52 And that it is He Who threw down the upturned townships? 53 So there covered them that which covered. 54 So, which of your Lord's bounties will you doubt?” 55 This is a (Prophet) like that of the ancient warners (Prophets). 56 The threatened Hour is nigh. 57 None beside Allah can disclose it. 58 Do you then wonder at this announcement? 59 Will you laugh at it rather than weep? 60 Wasting your time in vanities? 61 Rather prostrate yourselves before Allah and serve Him. ۩ 62
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
