The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun is wrapped up [in darkness] 1 And when the stars fall, 2 And when the mountains shall be made to pass away, 3 And when full-term she-camels are neglected 4 when the savage beasts shall be brought together, 5 when the seas are set boiling, 6 when the souls are coupled (to their body), 7 And when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 For what sin she was killed, 9 and when the scrolls of (men's) deeds shall be unfolded, 10 And when the sky is torn away, 11 And when hell is further enflamed. 12 And when the Garden is brought nigh, 13 (Then) every soul will know what it hath made ready. 14 Oh, but I call to witness the planets, 15 The stars which rise and set, 16 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 17 and brightening morning, 18 Verily this is the word of a most honourable Messenger, 19 Mighty, established in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 there he is obeyed and held trustworthy. 21 And your companion is not [at all] mad. 22 And indeed he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) saw him [Jibrael (Gabriel)] in the clear horizon (towards the east). 23 He is not chary of making public what is unknown. 24 The Quran is not the word of condemned satan. 25 Whither then go ye? 26 This is naught else than a reminder unto creation, 27 to every one of you who wishes to tread the straight path. 28 And ye will not, unless (it be) that Allah willeth, the Lord of Creation. 29
