He it is Who sendeth down water from the sky, whence ye have drink, and whence are trees on which ye send your beasts to pasture. 10 And with it He grows for you corn, and the olive and the date-palm and the grape, and all kinds of fruits. Surely, in that is a sign for a people who reflect. 11 He has subjected for you the night and the day and the sun and the moon and the stars have also been made subservient by His command. Surely there are Signs in this for those who use their reason. 12 And all the [beauty of] many hues - which He has created for you on earth: in this, behold, there is a message for people who [are willing to] take it to heart! 13 And He it is Who has subjected the sea that you may eat fresh fish from it and bring forth ornaments from it that you can wear. And you see ships ploughing their course through it so that you may go forth seeking His Bounty and be grateful to Him. 14 And He has set up on the earth mountains standing firm, lest it should shake with you; and rivers and roads; that ye may guide yourselves; 15 As well as many other signs, as by the stars (you) find direction. 16 Is He, then, who creates like him who does not create? Will you not, then, take heed? 17 If you count the favours of God you will not be able to calculate. Assuredly God is forgiving and kind. 18 God knows what you hide and disclose. 19 Those whom they invoke besides Allah create nothing and are themselves created. 20 Dead (are they), not living, and they know not when they shall be raised. 21
