Again (of old) We bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron, 114 And delivered them and their people from the great affliction. 115 And We succoured them so that they became overcomers. 116 And We gave them both the Book that made (things) clear. 117 guided them to the right path, 118 And We perpetuated (praise) to them among the later generations. 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 They were two of Our believing servants. 122 And verily, llyas was one of the sent ones. 123 Behold, he said to his people, "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 124 Would you call on Baal and leave the best of creators, 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your ancestors of yore.” 126 But they cried him lies; so they will be among the arraigned, 127 except the sincere worshipers of Allah. 128 We preserved a good name for him among posterity. 129 Salamun (peace) be upon Ilyasin (Elias)!" 130 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 Lot, too, was among the Messengers. 133 When We delivered him and his followers, all-- 134 except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind; 135 Then We totally destroyed the others. 136 You pass by their desolate habitations in the morning 137 and by night. Will you not, then, use your reason? 138
