Kingship (Al-Mulk)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Blest be He in whose hand is the dominion, and He is over everything Potent. 1 Who created death and life that He may try you-- which of you is best in deeds; and He is the Mighty, the Forgiving, 2 He Who created the seven heavens one above another: No want of proportion wilt thou see in the Creation of (Allah) Most Gracious. So turn thy vision again: seest thou any flaw? 3 Then turn your vision again, and then again; in the end your vision will come back to you, worn out and frustrated. 4 And We have certainly beautified the nearest heaven with stars and have made [from] them what is thrown at the devils and have prepared for them the punishment of the Blaze. 5 And for those who disbelieve in their Lord will be the torment of Hell; and a hapless destination! 6 When they shall be cast therein, they shall hear a loud moaning of it as it heaves, 7 Almost bursting for fury. Whenever a group is cast into it, its keeper shall ask them: Did there not come to you a warner? 8 They say: Yea, verily, a warner came unto us; but we denied and said: Allah hath naught revealed; ye are in naught but a great error. 9 They also say, 'If we had only heard, or had understood, we would not have been of the inhabitants of the Blaze.' 10 And they will admit their sin, so [it is] alienation for the companions of the Blaze. 11 Indeed, those who fear their Lord unseen will have forgiveness and great reward. 12 Whether you speak in secret or aloud, He knows what is in every heart. 13 Should He not know,- He that created? and He is the One that understands the finest mysteries (and) is well-acquainted (with them). 14
