Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Perish the hands of the Father of Flame! Perish he! 1 His wealth avails him not, neither what he has earned; 2 Anon he shall roast into Fire having flame. 3 and his wife, the carrier of the firewood, 4 upon her neck shall be a rope of palm-fibre. 5

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
