And [mention, O Muhammad], the Day when the enemies of Allah will be gathered to the Fire while they are [driven] assembled in rows, 19 So that when they reach it their ears and eyes and persons will testify to what they did. 20 And they say unto their skins: Why testify ye against us? They say: Allah hath given us speech Who giveth speech to all things, and Who created you at the first, and unto Whom ye are returned. 21 Ye have not been taking cover against yourselves lest your ears and your eyes and your skins should bear witness against you, but ye imagined that Allah not much knew of that which ye were working. 22 That, your thought which ye did think about your Lord, hath ruined you; and ye find yourselves (this day) among the lost. 23 Even if they were to exercise patience, their dwelling would still be hell fire. Even if they were to seek favors, they would receive none. 24 ۞ We assigned to them companions who made their doings appear fair to them. But the same decree [of punishment] proved true against them, which had proved true against nations of jinn and mankind who passed away before them. Surely they were the losers. 25
