Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 Consider these [messages] that spread [the truth] far and wide, 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 To clear or to warn. 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what could make thee conceive what that Day of Distinction will be? 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 For a known extent. 22 Thus We have determined the stages of development and Our power to determine is excellent indeed. 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 for the living and the dead, 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
