And the people of the Hijr (rocks) denied the Noble Messengers. 80 We also gave them Our Signs, yet they turned away from them. 81 And they used to hew out dwellings from the hills, (wherein they dwelt) secure. 82 But the Shout seized them in the morning, 83 and whatever they had been earning proved of no avail. 84 And We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, except with the Truth; and indeed the Last Day will come, therefore (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), forbear graciously. 85 Verify thy Lord! He is the Great Creator, the Knower. 86 And assuredly We have vouchsafed unto thee seven of the repetitions and the mighty Qur'an. 87 Cast not thine eyes toward that which We have let classes of them to enjoy; and grieve not over them, and lower thy wing unto the believers. 88 and say, "I am, indeed, a plain warner," 89 Like as We sent down on the dividers 90 Those who break the Qur'an into parts. 91 Them, by thy Lord, We shall question, every one, 92 For that which they have been working. 93 Promulgate thou that which thou art commanded, and turn away from the associaters. 94 We shall help you against those who mock you 95 who set up another god with God, but they shall soon learn. 96 We do indeed know how your heart is distressed at what they say. 97 Glorify and praise your Lord and be with those who prostrate themselves before God. 98 And worship thy Lord until there cometh unto thee the certainty. 99
