And indeed this Qur’an has been sent down by the Lord Of The Creation. 192 The Trustworthy Spirit brought it down. (Angel Jibreel – peace be upon him.) 193 Upon your heart that you may be of the warners 194 (a revelation) in clear Arabic language, 195 Its news was also mentioned in the ancient Books. 196 Is it not a sign to them that the learned men of the Israelites know it? 197 (But such is their adamance) that had We revealed it to one of the non-Arabs and even if he had recited (this clear Arabic discourse) to them 198 And he had recited it to them [perfectly], they would [still] not have been believers in it. 199 This is how We have made (the habit of) denying embedded in the hearts of the guilty. 200 They will not believe in it until they clearly see the grievous chastisement. 201 It shall come to them of a sudden, while they perceive it not; 202 and they will say, 'Shall we be respited?' 203 Do they really want Our chastisement to be expedited? 204 Then have you considered if We gave them enjoyment for years 205 and then the promised punishment fell upon them, 206 of what avail to them will be all their past enjoyments? 207 And We destroyed not a city but it had its warners. 208 to admonish them. We have never been unjust. 209 Not by the Satans has it been brought down; 210 They are not worthy of it, nor have they power. 211 Lo! verily they are banished from the hearing. 212 So call not thou unto another god along with Allah, lest thou be of the doomed. 213 Warn your nearest kinsmen, 214 and extend kindness and affection to those of the believers who follow you. 215 If they do not obey you, tell them: "I am not responsible for what you do." 216 And put your trust in the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful, 217 Who watches you when you get up, 218 And thy movements among those who prostrate themselves, 219 Verily He! He is the Hearer, the Knower. 220 Shall I inform you upon whom the devils descend? 221 They descend on every lying (one who tells lies), sinful person. 222 (Into whose ears) they pour hearsay vanities, and most of them are liars. 223 And as to the poets, those who go astray follow them. 224 Art thou not aware that they roam confusedly through all the valleys [of words and thoughts,] 225 and preaching what they themselves never practice. 226 Save those who believe and do good works, and remember Allah much, and vindicate themselves after they have been wronged. Those who do wrong will come to know by what a (great) reverse they will be overturned! 227
