The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ The Most Beneficent (Allah)! 1 Bestowed the Qur'an, 2 He created man, 3 He taught him eloquent speech. 4 The sun and the moon follow courses (exactly) computed; 5 And the stars and trees prostrate. 6 And the heaven, He raised it high, and He made the balance 7 that you may not transgress in the balance, 8 So establish weight with justice and fall not short in the balance. 9 He positioned the earth for all the creatures: 10 On it are fruits and palm-trees with sheathed clusters [of dates], 11 And grain chaffed and other food. 12 Which of the bounties of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 13 He created the human from clay, like earthenware 14 whereas the invisible beings He has created out of a confusing flame of fire. 15 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 16 He is Lord of the two easts and Lord of the two wests. 17 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 18 He has made the two oceans meet each other, 19 Between them is a barrier which they cannot pass. 20 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 21 Out of them come Pearls and Coral: 22 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 23 His are the high-sailed vessels in deep ocean like the mountains. 24 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 25
