The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers; 1 Those who in their prayer are lowly. 2 who avoid whatever is vain and frivolous; 3 And they who are observant of zakah 4 who guard their privates, 5 save from their wives, or those whom their right hands possess; for with regard to them they are free from blame " 6 Those who desire to go beyond such limits they commit transgression, 7 and who preserve their trusts and their covenant 8 and who guard their Prayers. 9 Those are the heirs 10 that shall inherit Paradise; and in it they shall abide for ever. 11 We created man of an extraction of clay, 12 Then made him a drop of fluid in a secure shelter. 13 Then We made the sperm into a clot of congealed blood; then of that clot We made a (foetus) lump; then we made out of that lump bones and clothed the bones with flesh; then we developed out of it another creature. So blessed be Allah, the best to create! 14 after this you shall surely die. 15 and then, behold! you shall be raised from the dead on Resurrection Day. 16 And certainly We made above you seven heavens; and never are We heedless of creation. 17 We sent down water from the sky in due measure and lodged it in the earth, but if We please, We have the power to take it away, 18 And by means of this [water] We bring forth for you gardens of date-palms and vines, wherein you have fruit abundant and whereof you eat, 19 also a tree growing on Mount Sinai which produces oil and a condiment for those who eat it. 20 And indeed, for you in livestock is a lesson. We give you drink from that which is in their bellies, and for you in them are numerous benefits, and from them you eat. 21 and upon them and on the ships you are carried. 22
