The people of Lot rejected the Messengers, branding them liars. 160 Recall, when their brother Lot said to them: "Have you no fear? 161 I am for you an honest Messenger. 162 "So fear Allah and obey me. 163 "No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 164 What, do you come to the males of the world, 165 “And leave the wives your Lord has created for you? In fact you are people who exceed the limits.” 166 They said: "If you do not desist, O Lot, you will be expelled (from the city)." 167 He said: verily I am of those who abhor your work. 168 “My Lord, rescue me and my family from their deeds.” 169 So We delivered him and his household all. 170 Save an old woman among the lingerers. 171 Thereafter We annihilated the rest. 172 And We rained on them a rain. And dreadful is the rain of those who have been warned. 173 In this there is an evidence of the Truth, but many of them did not have any faith. 174 And indeed your Lord – only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 175
