Evidence (of the truth) for them is how We revived the dead earth 33 and We made therein gardens of palms and vines, and therein We caused fountains to gush forth, 34 so that they might eat of its fruit and the labor of their hands. Will they not give thanks? 35 Exalted is He who created all pairs - from what the earth grows and from themselves and from that which they do not know. 36 And a sign for them is the night; We strip it of the day and lo, they are in darkness. 37 The sun runs to its fixed resting place; that is the decree of the Almighty, the Knower. 38 And the moon - We have determined for it phases, until it returns [appearing] like the old date stalk. 39 It is not allowable for the sun to reach the moon, nor does the night overtake the day, but each, in an orbit, is swimming. 40 how We carried them and their offspring inside the laden Ark 41 and created for them similar things to ride. 42 And if We will, We drown them, and there is no help for them, neither can they be saved; 43 unless it be a mercy from us, and as an enjoyment for a season. 44 But when it is said to them, "Beware of what is before you and what is behind you; perhaps you will receive mercy... " 45 And never came an Ayah from among the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of their Lord to them, but they did turn away from it. 46 And when it is said to them: "Spend of that with which Allah has provided you," those who disbelieve say to those who believe: "Shall we feed those whom, if Allah willed, He (Himself) would have fed? You are only in a plain error." 47 And they say: "When will this promise come to pass, if what you say is true?" 48 The Truth is that they are waiting for nothing but a mighty Blast to seize them the while they are disputing (in their worldly affairs), 49 Then they will be unable to make a will, nor shall they return to their kinsmen. 50
