The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By those [angels] who range themselves in close ranks 1 And those who drive [the clouds] 2 And those who recite the message, 3 your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and everything between them; Lord of the Easts. 5 Lo! We have adorned the lowest heaven with an ornament, the planets; 6 and guarded it against all rebellious devils: 7 These satans cannot listen to what transpires in the High Council for they are pelted away from every side 8 Repelled; and for them is a constant punishment, 9 Except him who snatches off but once, then there follows him a brightly shining flame. 10 Just ask their opinion: are they the more difficult to create, or the (other) beings We have created? Them have We created out of a sticky clay! 11 Yet while you are filled with wonder, they just scoff; 12 And they do not understand, when explained to. 13 and, when they see a sign, would scoff; 14 And they say: Lo! this is mere magic; 15 When we have become dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then verily be raised? 16 Or our fathers of yore? 17 Say thou: and verily ye; shall then be despicable. 18 Then it will be a single (compelling) cry; and behold, they will begin to see! 19 They will then say: “Woe for us. This is the Day of Judgement.” 20 "(Yes,) this is the Day of Judgement you had called a lie." 21
