Al-Najm 3 of 3
Didst thou (O Muhammad) observe him who turned away, 33 and gives a little, grudgingly? 34 Does he have knowledge of the unseen, so he sees? 35 Nay, is he not acquainted with what is in the Books of Moses- 36 And with Abraham who kept his word: 37 “That no bearer of a burden shall bear the burden of another, 38 And that man will not obtain anything except what he strove for? 39 And that his deeds will be seen, 40 Then he will be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense 41 And that to your Lord is the goal- 42 And that it is He Who made (you) laugh and made (you) cry? 43 And that it is He Who causeth to die and causeth to live. 44 And that He createth the pair, the male and the female. 45 from an ejected drop of sperm; 46 And that upon Him is another bringing forth. 47 And that He it is Who enricheth and contenteth; 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius; 49 And that it is He Who earlier destroyed the tribe of Aad? 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace [of them,] 51 Like the people of Noah before them, who were surely oppressors and rebellious; 52 And He brought perdition upon the subverted cities 53 So that there covered them that which did cover. 54 Then which of the favors of your Lord do you doubt? 55 This is a warner, of the warners of old. 56 The Imminent is near at hand; 57 None but God can avert it. 58 Do ye then wonder at this recital? 59 and do you laugh, and do you not weep, 60 And ye are behaving proudly. 61 [Nay,] but prostrate yourselves before God, and worship [Him alone]! ۩ 62

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
