Are ye the harder to create, or is the heaven that He built? 27 He hath raised the height thereof and perfected it. 28 And He made dark its night, and brought forth its sunshine. 29 And the earth, He expanded it after that. 30 And brought forth therefrom its water and its pasture; 31 And the mountains, He made them firm, 32 All this was done as a means of enjoyment for you and your cattle. 33 But when the great calamity will come about 34 The Day whereon man shall remember whatsoever he had striven for. 35 and when Hell is advanced for whoever sees, 36 Those who have rebelled 37 and preferred the present life, 38 Will surely have Hell for his abode. 39 but one who fears to stand before his Lord and restrained himself from base desires, 40 Then indeed Paradise only is his destination. 41 They will question you about the Hour: 'When shall it be' 42 In what [position] are you that you should mention it? 43 To your Lord is the goal of it. 44 You are only a warner for those who fear it. 45 It will be, on the Day they see it, as though they had not remained [in the world] except for an afternoon or a morning thereof. 46
