Al-Aadeyaat

The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Oh, the chargers that run panting, 1 by the strikers of fire, 2 And push home the charge in the morning, 3 blazing a trail of dust, 4 And penetrate forthwith into the midst (of the foe) en masse;- 5 Indeed mankind, to his Lord, is ungrateful. 6 And is himself witness to it, 7 And indeed he is, in love of wealth, intense. 8 ۞ Does he not know that when that which is in the graves is overthrown, 9 And that which is (locked up) in (human) breasts is made manifest- 10 That their Lord had been Well-acquainted with them, (even to) that Day? 11

God the Almighty always says the truth.
