And do not ever assume that Allah is unaware of what the unjust do; He does not give them respite but for a day in which the eyes will become fixed, staring. 42 when they shall run with necks outstretched and heads erect, their glances never returned on themselves, their hearts void. 43 And warn mankind of a day when the doom will come upon them, and those who did wrong will say: Our Lord! Reprieve us for a little while. We will obey Thy call and will follow the messengers. (It will be answered): Did ye not swear before that there would be no end for you? 44 And you lived among the dwellings of those who wronged themselves, and it had become clear to you how We dealt with them. And We presented for you [many] examples." 45 And they have indeed planned their plan, but their plan is with Allah, though their plan was such that the mountains should pass away thereby. 46 Therefore do not think Allah (to be one) failing in His promise to His apostles; surely Allah is Mighty, the Lord of Retribution. 47 On the day when the earth shall be changed into a different earth, and the heavens (as well), and they shall come forth before Allah, the One, the Supreme. 48 And thou wilt see the guilty on that Day bound together in fetters. 49 their garments shall be black as if made out of pitch, and flames of the Fire shall cover their faces 50 That Allah may requite each soul according to its deserts; and verily Allah is swift in calling to account. 51 This is a Message to be delivered to mankind that they may be warned by it, and that they may know that He is One God, and that all possessed of minds may remember. 52
