۞ Gather all the wicked together and their comrades, and those they had worshipped 22 Beside Allah, and lead them on to the path of the Flaming Fire. 23 Stop them. They must be questioned." 24 "Why help you not one another?" 25 No, today they will resign themselves in submission, 26 And they will turn to one another and question one another. 27 Some [of them] will say: "Behold, you were wont to approach us [deceptively] from the right!" 28 The oppressors will say, "Rather, you [yourselves] were not believers, 29 We had no power over you. In fact, you were a people rebellious. 30 So the word of our Lord has come into effect upon us; indeed, we will taste [punishment]. 31 We mislead you and we ourselves had also gone astray." 32 Then lo! this day they (both) are sharers in the doom. 33 Surely thus do We deal with the guilty. 34 When they were told, "There is no deity but God," they turned away with disdain, 35 saying, 'What, shall we forsake our gods for a poet possessed?' 36 Not in the least. He has brought the truth and confirmed the other messengers. 37 Indeed, you [disbelievers] will be tasters of the painful punishment, 38 You will only be recompensed according to your deeds.” 39 Save the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 40 For them is the sustenance known to Us. 41 Fruits; and they shall be honoured, 42 in gardens of bliss, 43 On couches facing one another; 44 a goblet from a spring shall be passed round to them 45 White, delicious to the drinkers, 46 Neither does it intoxicate, nor give a headache. 47 And with them shall be damsels of refraining looks, large-eyed 48 (Pure) as they were hidden eggs (of the ostrich). 49 So one among them turns to the other, questioning. 50 The speaker among them said, “I had a companion.” 51 who used to say: -- Are you also one of those who confirm the Truth (of life after death)? 52 Can we, when we are dead and have become mere dust and bones - can we (then) verily be brought to book? 53 Do you want to see him?' " 54 Then looketh he and seeth him in the depth of hell. 55 He will say to his friend in hell, "By God, you almost destroyed me. 56 And but for the favour of my lord, I should have been of those brought forward. 57 Then, are we not to die 58 except our first death, and shall we not be punished' 59 Lo! this is the supreme triumph. 60 It is for the like of this that all should strive. 61 Is such [a paradise] the better welcome - or the [hellish] tree of deadly fruit? 62 Verily, We have caused it to be a trial for evildoers: 63 Verily it is a tree that springeth forth in the bottom of Flaming Fire. 64 Its produce is as it were the heads of the serpents. 65 And indeed, they will eat from it and fill with it their bellies. 66 And afterward, lo! thereupon they have a drink of boiling water 67 Then to Hell they will surely be returned. 68 They found their father going astray 69 Yet they hasten to follow in their footsteps. 70 Before them a multitude of people of olden times had erred, 71 though We had sent warners among them. 72 Look, then how was the end of those who had been warned, 73 except the sincere worshipers of Allah. 74

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
