THUS, INDEED, did We bestow Our favour upon Moses and Aaron; 114 And We delivered them both and their people from the mighty distress. 115 And helped them, so that they became the victors; 116 And We gave them both the Book that made (things) clear. 117 And showed them the right path. 118 and We left them thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 119 Peace be on Musa and Haroun. 120 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 121 Verily the twain were of Our bondmen believing. 122 And indeed, Elias was from among the messengers, 123 (Call to mind) when he said to his people: “Will you not fear Allah? 124 Do you worship Ba`al and abandon the Best Creator. 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 But they called him a liar, therefore they shall most surely be brought up. 127 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 128 And We left his (memory) for posterity. 129 Peace be unto Elias! 130 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 Lot was certainly a Messenger. 133 [So mention] when We saved him and his family, all, 134 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 135 and We destroyed the rest. 136 You pass by (their habitations) in the morning 137 and at night. Do you still not understand? 138
