The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the night enshrouding 1 And the day when it shines in all its glory, 2 And Him Who hath created male and female, 3 Indeed your efforts differ. 4 Thus, as for him who gives [to others] and is conscious of God, 5 and believes in the truth of what is right, 6 We shall surely ease him to the Easing. 7 but for him that is a miser, and sufficed, 8 And who belieth the Good, 9 So We will very soon provide him hardship. 10 His riches will not save him when he perisheth. 11 Indeed guiding is upon Us. 12 and to Us belong the Last and the First. 13 Wherefore I have warned you of Fire flaming, 14 Which only the most wretched must endure, 15 The one who denied and turned away. 16 He will be far away from the most pious. (The first Caliph S. Abu Bakr Siddiq) 17 one who gives his wealth to become purified, 18 not as payment for favours received, 19 but only out of a longing for the countenance of his Sustainer, the All-Highest: 20 and he shall surely be satisfied. 21
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
