And We did certainly create man out of clay from an altered black mud. 26 whereas the invisible beings We had created, [long] before that, out of the fire of scorching winds. 27 Your Lord said to the angels, "I am about to bring into being a man wrought from mud. 28 Then when I have formed him and breathed into him of My Spirit fall down unto him prostrate. 29 So the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together: 30 Except Iblees, he refused to be with those who prostrated. 31 (Allah) said: "O Iblis! what is your reason for not being among those who prostrated themselves?" 32 He replied: 'I will not prostrate to a mortal You have created of clay, from molded mud' 33 [Allah] said, "Then get out of it, for indeed, you are expelled. 34 And verily on thee shall be the curse till the Day of Requital. 35 (Iblis) said: "O my Lord! give me then respite till the Day the (dead) are raised." 36 "You are among the reprieved," (said the Lord), 37 till that Appointed Day." 38 He said: My Lord! Because Thou hast sent me astray, I verily shall adorn the path of error for them in the earth, and shall mislead them every one, 39 Save such of them as are Thy perfectly devoted slaves. 40 (Allah) said: "This (way of My sincere servants) is indeed a way that leads straight to Me. 41 Surely, as regards My servants, you have no authority, over them except those who follow you of the deviators. 42 And indeed hell is the promise for all of them. 43 it has seven gates: and each gate has a portion of them allotted to it. 44

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
